Silverheels Ranch | Fairplay, CO

Silverheels Mountain Ranches has it all, whether it is flourishing aspens, the peaceful mountain country, pasture for the horses, or a vacation getaway not too far from the ski resorts. Nestled in the aspen groves in the valley of the prominent Silverheels Mountains, are wonderful medium-sized ranch homes, typically with 5 acres or more. Many homes are positioned on the gentle, open hillsides that are flourishing with aspens and panoramic mountain vistas. Outdoor lovers will especially appreciate the fishing, equestrian, wildlife and forest hiking opportunities all accessible from within the subdivision.

The community is conveniently situated within a few minutes of the historic town of Fairplay and Highway 285 for shopping, restaurants, medical services and other conveniences. These meandering country roads are maintained by the county and a gentle ride for most vehicle types. Here, the fiber optic internet cable is a rare utility in the mountain country and satisfies those working from home.

Mount Silverheels & Pike National Forest

Mount Silverheels towers over the community’s hillsides at 13,829′ in elevation in the Pike National Forest. The mountain was named in honor of a generous local woman who had used her earnings from dancing in silver shoes to help bring doctors to the community in the 1800s. This mountain provides for wonderful high alpine adventures all year long and is a stunning backdrop for homes throughout the community.

Stocked Fishing Lakes & Hunting

Community members share the use of two privately maintained fishing lakes. All persons must carry their official SROA Fishing Pass when fishing at the lakes.

Abundant Wildlife Habitat

There is big game and an abundant wildlife habitat sharing residency in this community. In the Fall, it can be particularly exciting to see the massive herd of elk that roams the open pastures seen from Silverheels Road.

Equestrian

Small ranches are peppered throughout the community, including horses and burros. The well rights in this community allow for at least two horses per parcel. Round pens and fencing is often acceptable within reason. Covenant #8 states, “Not more than four horses are allowed per lot.” However, our water rights allow for the watering of only 2 horses per lot. Therefore, owners with more than 2 horses must be able to prove they are obtaining water from a source other than their well.

Central Location between Breckenridge Ski Resort & Arkansas River Valley in Buena Vista

The community is in a nearly central location between the front ranges of Denver, Breckenridge Ski Resort and the Arkansas River Valleys of Buena Vista.

Nearby South Park Recreation Center Pool & Fitness

The South Park Recreation Center is located in the same corner of Fairplay and just a few short minutes away from the Silverheels subdivision. The recreation facility provides for an indoor pool, skate park and more. www.southparkrec.org

Silverheels Ranch Homeowners Association

The HOA helps with special initiatives for the community and maintaining fishing ponds and common outdoor areas. Many homes are supported by natural gas and fiber optic cable internet. The peaceful environment and outdoor lifestyle is cherished by the Silverheels Ranch property owners. The dues are minimal each year with annual HOA meetings. The community upholds certain covenants and general policies that are in addition to Park County Construction guidelines. www.silverheelsranch.com
