Early Season Trails Begin at Dillon Reservoir
Old Dillon Reservoir and the Frisco Peninsula are packed with early season dry trails, beautiful sunrise and sunset picnics and something all abilities can enjoy, all from the water’s edge. Here, you can experience some of the best early mountain biking and jogging trails to get warmed up for summer. Another fun hobby is bird watching, including eagles. While the water is still a bit cold with intermittent snow cover, it won’t be long before the sails, kayaks and row boats begin to dock in the town of Frisco and Dillon. Campgrounds at Dillon Reservoir typically begin to flourish by June, so get your high alpine barbeques on the books.
